About Sterling Edge

Sterling Edge was founded in 1998 and has enjoyed an impressive and steady growth. Our products include Ballnose, Backdraft and Copy Mills, with many configurations from which to choose. For extra-reach requirements, tooling is available in carbide shanks and Tungsten Heavy Metal modular shanks for improved rigidity and minimal deflection. These shanks also perform well in heat shrink holders for high RPM and feed rates.

In addition to a large selection of cutter bodies, Sterling Edge offers a wide variety of carbide insert grinds and coatings to fit your specific needs. Our products are made in the U.S.A.

Albert (Bert) Robitaille, President of Sterling Edge, Inc., purchased the company in 2007. A resident of Kalamazoo, Robitaille succeeded Robert Lemke at the helm of the Michigan-based manufacturer of profile milling tools.

Robitaille had 25 years of experience in sales and marketing at several Fortune 100 companies including IBM, Siemens and Xerox. A graduate of Michigan State University.
