High-Feed

Sterling Edge's solid carbide high-feed mills are designed to satisfy industry's demand for high-feed machining. The high-feed geometry and premium coatings allows for high-speed machining of tool steels up to 65 HRC. Using light depths of cuts, high-speed machining is capable of low spindle loads because of vertical cutting pressure, less vibration and deflection. This gives you high chip loads per tooth without excessive spindle wear.

Advantages of solid-carbide high feed end mills:

  • Reduce cycle time during extremely high-feed machining.
  • Offer excellent wear resistance when machining hardened steel.
  • Reliability for un-attended operation.
